Snowing in Atlanta
We got up to three inches of snow on the ground and a wonderful winterland backyard for a day.
Rainy Sunday
Yesterday the rain fell on and off all morning and early afternoon. It was miserable outside for all kind of living creatures. This bluebird is wet to the bones and looking gloomy. Springs seems far away today...
Early signs of Spring
One of my orchids started showing signs of flowering last December, a month earlier than usual and it’s looking like it’s going to be a beauty. I’ll keep you posted.
September rains
Last summer was the drought, this one the floods. There are still a lot of people in Atlanta and its suburbs suffering its consequences. In our case, thankfully, the water was just a nuisance.
The picture shows the water covering half of the fountain’s lower tier and transforming our backyard into a small shallow lake.
